Enerpize vs. Xero Singapore
On 1 November 2026, every Xero Singapore subscription gets more expensive. Starter climbs from S$39 to S$42 a month, Standard from S$70 to S$77, and Premium from S$95 to S$99. A price rise does something sneaky. It makes you ask a question you stopped asking years ago: is this still the right system for the business I run today? This page answers it honestly, InvoiceNow included.

Enerpize is a cloud-based, all-in-one ERP platform for small and medium-sized businesses, combining accounting, inventory, HR, sales, and CRM in a single system. Payroll, stock, point of sale, and the books share one login and one plan.
About Xero
Xero is a cloud accounting platform founded in New Zealand in 2006 and used by 5 million customers worldwide. In Singapore it sells three plans, includes unlimited users on every one, and connects to InvoiceNow through a free app. For a lot of Singapore accountants it is the default, and that default was earned.
What Xero Singapore Actually Gives You in 2026
Xero is cloud accounting software sold in Singapore on three monthly plans, Starter, Standard, and Premium, priced from S$39 to S$95 including GST until 31 October 2026. Every plan includes unlimited users, bank reconciliation, GST tracking, and access to InvoiceNow, Singapore's e-invoicing network, through a free connected app.
That is the brochure. Now the fine print.
Starter Is Smaller Than It Looks
Xero Starter lets you send quotes and 20 invoices a month, and enter 5 bills, according to Xero's own plan comparison. For a freelancer, that is plenty. For a trading company that bills daily, the allowance is gone before the second week is out, and the only way past it is Standard.
The Good Stuff Lives Higher Up
Standard adds bulk and automatic bank reconciliation, a 60-day cash flow forecast, and budgets. Premium adds multiple currencies, a 180-day forecast, and KPI analysis. Want employee expense claims? That is an add-on from S$6 a month. Project time and cost tracking? From S$10 a month.
What the Real Monthly Bill Looks Like
Picture a ten-person trading company in Ubi. It bills every day, so Starter is out on day one. Standard at the new S$77 covers the invoices. Projects adds S$10 so the team can cost jobs. Expense claims add S$6. Payroll comes from a separate app, priced on its own and usually per employee. Nothing about that stack is unreasonable. It just never shows up as one number on the pricing page, and the sticker price you compared last year is no longer the price you pay.
So the honest shape of Xero accounting Singapore businesses buy into looks like this: a polished ledger, unlimited seats, and a menu of extras that grows with you. None of that is a flaw. It is a pricing model, and pricing models are worth reading closely right before a price rise.

Multi-org Discount
Xero Singapore pricing above comes from Xero's own pricing and price update pages, in SGD and including GST. The new rates apply to new and existing subscribers from 1 November 2026, and the multi-org discount stops applying on the same date, so check your Xero subscription Singapore invoice if you run more than one company. Promo codes still apply until they expire. Enerpize does not publish SGD pricing yet, so its figures are the US rates of $14.95, $39.95, and $64.95 converted at about S$1.28 per US dollar (19 October 2026), before any GST. Confirm the exact amount at checkout. Put plainly, a full year of Enerpize Basic costs less than six months of Xero Starter at the new price.

Read the compliance rows first. They are where Xero earns its keep in Singapore. Xero files GST F5 returns and exchanges e-invoices on InvoiceNow. Enerpize does neither today. Further down the table, the picture flips: stock across several warehouses, production, point of sale, and payroll all live inside Enerpize, while a Xero user reaches for another app to get there.
See Every Module in Your Free TrialXero InvoiceNow, and What It Means If You Switch
Here is the section that decides more Singapore switches than any feature table.
InvoiceNow is Singapore's nationwide e-invoicing network, run by the Infocomm Media Development Authority on the international Peppol standard. Instead of emailing a PDF that someone retypes, your invoice travels straight into your customer's accounting system. IMDA has estimated savings of about S$8 for every invoice processed this way.
How Xero Handles It
Xero connects to the network through Invoici, a free app on the Xero App Store. You enter your UEN, authorize with CorpPass, and receive a Peppol ID. From then on, supplier e-invoices land in Xero as draft bills. It is free with every Xero plan, though not during the free trial, and Xero says more than 15,000 Singapore businesses have registered for e-invoicing through it. That is why InvoiceNow Xero setups take an afternoon, not a project.
Find Your Row Before You Decide
The GST InvoiceNow requirement from IRAS goes further than sending invoices: GST-registered businesses also transmit invoice data to IRAS through the network. It is arriving in phases.
- 1 November 2025: newly incorporated companies that voluntarily register for GST.
- 1 April 2026: all new voluntary GST registrants.
- 1 April 2028: businesses with annual supplies of S$200,000 or less, plus all new compulsory registrants.
- 1 April 2029: annual supplies above S$200,000 and up to S$1 million.
- 1 April 2030: above S$1 million and up to S$4 million.
- 1 April 2031: everyone else above S$4 million.
The Honest Enerpize Answer
Enerpize does not send or receive invoices through InvoiceNow today, and it does not transmit GST data to IRAS. Better you read that here than discover it after migration.
So the rule is simple. If your business already sits in the first two rows, stay on an InvoiceNow-ready system. If your row is 2028 or later, you have time, and the question becomes which system runs the rest of your business better.
Try Enerpize for FreeWhere Enerpize Pulls Ahead of Xero
Xero is a very good set of books. Enerpize is the books plus the shop floor, the warehouse, and the HR office. That difference shows up in four places.
Payroll That Lives Next to the Ledger
Xero partners in Singapore, such as Harvest Accounting, run client payroll through connected apps like Talenox, Employment Hero, and Payboy, and HR provider Omni HR notes that Xero does not natively handle CPF contributions or IRAS AIS filing. Enerpize keeps contracts, salary components, pay runs, payslips, loans, attendance, and leave in the same system as your general ledger. One honest caveat: Enerpize does not submit CPF contributions to the CPF Board or file AIS with IRAS, so those submissions still go through your payroll specialist or accountant.
Stock That Knows Which Shelf It Is On
Xero tracks inventory items, which is enough for a small catalog in one location. Enerpize tracks stock across several warehouses, handles requisitions and stocktakes, and runs price lists, all on every plan. If you have ever counted the same carton twice because two stores share one spreadsheet, you already know why this matters.
Every Currency, Every Plan
Singapore trades with the world, yet Xero keeps multiple currencies for Premium. Enerpize supports more than 135 currencies on every plan, so the business that buys from Shenzhen and sells to Jakarta does not need the top tier to get its invoices right.
Several Branches, One Subscription
From 1 November 2026, Xero stops applying its multi-org discount. If you run an outlet in Tampines and another in Jurong under separate files, your bill just went up twice. Enerpize manages branches inside one account, with one live view across all of them.

Who Should Stay on Xero
A comparison that only ever says switch is an advert. Here is the other side.
- Businesses already inside an InvoiceNow phase. If you registered for GST voluntarily as a newly incorporated company from November 2025, or as any new voluntary registrant from April 2026, the requirement applies now. Xero covers it. Enerpize does not yet.
- Companies whose accountant lives in Xero. Much of the Xero accounting software Singapore firms recommend comes bundled with a partner who files your GST F5 from it. Moving costs you that rhythm.
- Teams claiming the EDGE grant through a Xero vendor. EDGE replaced the Productivity Solutions Grant on 30 September 2026, and Xero partners such as Harvest offer setup packages under it.
- UOB BizSmart customers. UOB currently offers six months of Xero free through BizSmart. Free is hard to argue with.

GST, InvoiceNow, CPF, and Grants: The Singapore Rulebook
Software is the easy part of running a Singapore company. The rulebook is the hard part. Here is what each system has to get right, and who does what.
GST
Singapore's GST rate has been 9% since 1 January 2024, according to IRAS. Registration becomes compulsory once taxable turnover passes S$1 million in 12 months, and registered businesses file a GST F5 return, usually every quarter.
Who does what: Xero files the F5 from inside the software. In Enerpize you track GST at 9% on every invoice and bill, then file the F5 on myTax Portal yourself or through your accountant. Our Singapore invoice template shows the fields IRAS expects on a tax invoice.
Practical note for GST-registered businesses: the switch is cleanest right after you file a quarter, so no single GST period ever lives in two systems.
InvoiceNow
The phased IRAS requirement reaches existing GST-registered businesses from 1 April 2028, starting with those whose annual supplies are S$200,000 or less, and covers everyone by 1 April 2031.
Who does what: Xero connects through Invoici at no extra cost. Enerpize does not connect to InvoiceNow today, so check your phase date before you move.
Practical note for voluntary GST registrants: if the requirement already applies to you, keep an InvoiceNow-ready system in place. No comparison table outranks a legal obligation.
CPF and Payroll
Employers pay CPF contributions for eligible employees every month, and the Employment Act requires itemized payslips for employees it covers. Those two rules shape every Singapore payroll run.
Who does what: Xero users typically run payroll in a connected app. Enerpize runs pay runs and payslips in the same system as the ledger, while the CPF submission itself still goes through your payroll specialist or accountant.
Practical note for Singapore employers: list every allowance and deduction before migration day, so the salary components in your new system match last month's payslips line for line.
Grants
The EDGE grant replaced the Productivity Solutions Grant on 30 September 2026. Xero partners describe support of up to 50% of qualifying setup costs when you go through a pre-approved vendor.
Who does what: grant support depends on the vendor and the solution, not the software category. Check GoBusiness for what is pre-approved before you count a subsidy in your budget.
Practical note for grant-seekers: compare the subsidized price against the full-year cost of the alternative, because a 50% discount on a pricier stack can still cost more.
